Let's get to know Crys a little better!

At CertaPro Painters® of Austin, TX we offer house painting and commercial painting services to homes and businesses in the greater Austin, TX area.

Q. How long have you been a member of CAI?
A. 6 years, through multiple professions along the way.

Q. Why did you join CAI?
A. Initially as a part of my role as a Community Manager, now for networking/marketing purposes and to stay connected to great people I have continued to build relationships with.

Q. What is your current occupation?
A. Business Developer for CertaPro Painters of Austin

Q. What do you love most about your industry?
A. Finding new and creative ways to make an impression. I was a community manager for several years, I know how difficult it can be, I like to use my past experience as a CAM to relate, uplift and hold myself as a service provider to those high standards I had as a manager.

Q. How have you adapted your business model to COVID-19 to work alongside your clients during this time?
A. It’s been interesting, but finding ways to just add support to the manager and their communities has been our focus. We have done Community Donation Drive-Thrus for residents, lunch and dinner deliveries for managers and their families, trivia virtual Happy Hours to get some face to face connections and just doing simple wellness checks. It’s been a difficult time for us all; juggling homeschooling, countless homeowners and Board’s that are just as new to all this as we are. There is a time to market and a time to support, we really just wanted to add value to our managers in hopes to make a positive difference.

Q. What is one new thing - either industry related or not - you learned in the last month?
A. I am absolutely not meant to be a 1st grade teacher. Also, I will never take drinking a margarita on a patio for granted again.

Q. What's the first concert you attended?
A. N’Sync with Pink opening – I was immersed in the boyband whirlwind

Q. How do you define success?
A. Impacting others through your initiative to succeed. Being an inspiration whether it’s professional or personal, making a lasted impression on others through your hard work and dedication is such a rewarding feeling and has helped open my eyes to my own success that I may not have otherwise noticed (I can be a bit self-critical).
